初のドラム・マッチ！！ The Inaugural Dram Match!!

            I was going to embark on more theoretical ground-laying by opening a discussion on the etymology and implied meanings of “craft,” buuuuuut I'm going to unleash a duo of drams instead. 

ドラム・クラフト、初のドラム・マッチへようこそ！！

 Welcome to Dram Craft's Inaugural  Dram Match !!

Before we begin, let me explain the parameters.  Each Dram Match will feature two, similarly styled selections presented to two different tasters.  One will be an open tasting that I (Paul Owen) will perform and the other will be a blind tasting performed by a rotating circle of Dram Craft contributors.  At the end of each tasting, the taster will select the liquid expression that he/she believes is the better representative for that particular style of spirit.  The victor will be awarded a Dram Medallion.

The Leader Board page will keep track of all awarded Dram Medallions for easy reference.

上記は「ドラム・メダル」です。これから行うドラム・マッチでは二人が二つの同じようなお酒をテイスティングします。筆者（ポール）は二つのお酒を知りながら飲んでみるが、もう一人はブラインドでテイスティングします。最後に、二人はそのお酒の種類で一番いいものを選びドラム・メダルを贈ります。

            For this first match I have selected these two beasts for a number of reasons.  Both of these are quite young, scotch style world whiskies, bourbon barrel matured and bottled at cask strength.

初のドラム・マッチではこの二本を選択した理由は両方がかなり若くてバーボンバーレルで熟成されたスコッチのようなウイスキーです。そして、カスク・ストレングスで瓶詰めされました。
